Suntrap is a historical building first built in the late 19th Century as a hospital for children but since then the buildings use has changed numerous times. During the 2nd World War it became a Maternity Ward and in the 1950’s it was converted into flats to house the needy. In 1967 the London Borough of Waltham Forest bought Suntrap to create a centre to provide environmental education for children in the borough. Suntrap, nestled deep in Epping Forest. They offers outdoor educational activities for schools, families, adults and community groups.
